Joshua D. Freeman is one of the firm’s lawyers in Salt Lake City. Mr. Freeman practices primarily in the area of commercial litigation, working primarily in banking, real estate, and other related contract disputes. Mr. Freeman also practices in the firm’s transactional law group focusing on real estate transactions and dealing heavily in real estate lending transactions.
Mr. Freeman graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor of arts degree in April 2005. He then attended the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law where he graduated with honors in 2009. Josh was an associate editor of the Utah Law Review. During law school, Josh received the College of Law Outstanding Achievement Award in Contract Drafting, and published an article on negotiating international natural resource disputes and the organization structures that can manage such disputes in the Asian Law and Policy Journal.
Prior to joining Shumway Van & Hansen, Josh practiced in commercial and banking litigation and has some domestic law experience. Josh has vast experience in negotiating and mediating complex legal issues.
Josh enjoys reading and playing golf and tennis. He greatly enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
