Kristina B. Otterstrom is one of the firm’s attorneys in Salt Lake City.  Mrs. Ottersrom’s practice is concentrated in civil litigation, family law, and construction litigation.  Prior to joining Shumway, Van & Hansen Law, Ms. Otterstrom gained significant practical experience during two judicial externships, as a law clerk at a Utah law firm, and as a legal clerk in Brigham Young University’s Office of the General Counsel.

Ms. Otterstrom graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Texas A&M University with a degree in Journalism and was named the University’s top Journalism student in 2005. Ms. Otterstrom subsequently received her Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School in 2008 where she served as Managing Editor of Submissions for BYU’s International Law and Management Review and received the law school’s prestigious Scholarly Writing Award in 2007.
