Karl A. Shelton is a partner in our law firm’s Las Vegas office and focuses primarily on civil and commercial litigation. Mr. Shelton has experience as lead attorney handling all aspects of discovery and motion practice, up to and including trial in a variety of practice areas including:

Mr. Shelton obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Oregon prior to serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Army, where he served two tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Mr. Shelton received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law.
During his time in law school, Mr. Shelton worked as a law clerk for several law firms, from which service he gained experience on cases ranging from corporate governance, government affairs, bankruptcy, personal injury, to criminal matters. In addition to his clerking activities, Mr. Shelton worked as a Student Attorney at the Thomas and Mack Juvenile Justice Clinic representing juvenile clients in delinquency matters, served as a volunteer instructor for the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada Foreclosure Mediation Program, and as a teaching assistant for Professor Jean Whitney’s Legal Writing class. Mr. Shelton is licensed to practice in Arizona, Idaho, Nevada and Oregon.
